A Moderate Viewpoint In a Conservative Desert

Or What are they saying about Kamala Harris and Tim Walz now?

Now that we know Kamala Harris and Tim Walz are the Democratic ticket for the presidential election, what is the next step by the Conservative right? They are rapidly and in concert working to “define” who Kamala Harris and Tim Walz are . . . or more exactly who they WANT you to think they are.

One of the first tactics is to discredit the “mainstream” media such as ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, etc. by calling them corrupt and more . . .

How is this happening? According to conservative media mogul Mark Levin: The “media are using authoritarian, state-run media tactics to sway the 2024 election.” Or even more outrageously “Democrats and media liberals are conspiring to block the public’s right to know the position of the Democratic presidential ticket before election day.”

More and more, the conservative media mavens are using Cold War anti-communist rhetoric to define the Democrat party. Dan Bongino, another of the Conservative radio hosts refers to it as the “Left Wing Commie Scum.” Using the worst possible language the Conservative media is working to not only define the main-stream media, they are working hard to define Kamala Harris and Tim Walz.

According to Levin “Tim Waltz is perhaps the most appalling radical politician to ever be on any national ticket.” Referring to the “coronation” of Kamala Harris, Sean Hannity portrays Harris as “flip, flop, flail” to describe her campaign efforts to date. Hannity continues: “Kamala is beholden to a radical, extremely dangerous base. She always has been. She always will be.”

Notice the similarity in language and in ultimate goals. The Conservative Media is working in concert to demonize not only the media that disagrees, but also the Democrat party candidates. There isn’t just a disagreement, there is a concerted effort to strip individuals of humanity, to “otherize” them, and depict them as anti-American, and indeed Communists. The “Goon Squad media” in concert with the Democrat Party that Hates America are working together to take away all that you know and love according to the slew of Conservative Talk Radio hosts.

It is the politics of division and of fear. Fear of change, fear of immigration (note that this fear has been around as long as immigration has been around), fear of the rising power of people of color and of women . . . just plain fear. We all fear change to some extent . . . Conservative Media is taking it to extreme levels and making fear the reason that we must go back to “simpler” times.

The one thing that always amazes me is how Donald Trump and his disjointed ravings can be ignored. How the conservatives can just accept that Project 2025 has nothing to do with Trump, how they can ignore that Trump is just a puppet of the Heritage Foundation and the Federalist Society. Don’t believe me? Just check who recommended many of Trump’s Supreme Court nominees and his current Vice-Presidential nominee. In fact, J D Vance wrote the forward to Kevin Roberts new book. Roberts is the head of the Heritage Foundation and his new book which promotes a second “peaceful American revolution.” Vance somehow disavows knowledge of Project 2025 and one of its main architects . . . even though he wrote the forward to the book called “Dawns Early Light” and written by Kevin Roberts. Interestingly, the release of the book has now been postponed until AFTER the November election. What are they hiding?

There are surely more “defining moments” ahead. We have to know what the conservatives are saying about us so we can intelligently counter their hysterical ravings.
